Bio Siphamandla Innocent Nene’s also know as China Charmeleon born in Carolina Mpumalanga . China Charmeleon’s innovation has not only astonished fans, but also South African house stalwarts like Vinny Da Vinci and DJ Christos. He moved to Johannesburg in 2018 after trying to earn a livelihood as a musician in his tiny hamlet Carolina in the Mpumalanga province. His music was discovered by prominent DJ/producer Kid Fonque. Fonque mentored the then-unknown producer, but he published his songs on his label Stay True Sounds, which is home to a vanguard of creative South African dance music musicians. Fitting in, the creative producer turned out a couple of EPs, including his 2020 debut album Colours, and was entrusted with remixing 13 tracks from STS’s 100th release, Remixes Stay True Sounds.

China Charmeleon demonstrated his unrivalled ability by performing various stunts with each remix. One of the most active producers of Deep House in South Africa, China Charmeleon, releases his third album, well-titled - The Third. China jumped on the scene in 2020 before the global lockdown with his "Midnight Rain" EP, quickly taking his name and sound to the world. Shortly after, he released his debut album 'Colours', which cemented him as a highly-skilled musical producer with a love for Soul, Jazz and classic South African rhythms. Directly after his album came out he dropped the anthem "Tell Me, Tell Me," which became a hit on South African national radio with its infectious sample of the classic 'Where Did We Go Wrong?' by 80's South African band Stimela. His sophomore album "My Fathers Records" which dropped at the end of 2020 helped many music fans navigate themselves through the 3rd wave of Covid lockdowns
