Vito De Luca
Biography
Mostly known as Aeroplane, Vito De Luca has been making all kinds of music since the late 90’s.
Coming from a musical background rather than a production one, his work has been focused on chord progressions, arrangement and melodies over everything else. Focus that we can maybe also attribute partially to his lack of technical know-how? The jury is still out on that.
20 years and many projects later (like the underground now-classic Be Where I Am with Metroplane, or Sambal with Purple Disco Machine or it’s definitive funk record Love On Hold with Tawatha Agee) Vito still writes music on a daily basis. For himself, for others, sometimes for no one. And that is where he finds himself at home. Writing.
While Aeroplane is still going, Vito’s focus for the forthcoming years will be to get back to his original passion for notes and how they fit together to create the kind of emotional reactions only a good bridge can achieve.
